Ken Michaels

Ken Michaels is an Investment Advisor with Wisely Advised. His role in Wealth Management has positioned him with the opportunity to serve as the President and Treasurer for the Crown Point Chamber. Ken is an avid coin collector and also serves as the Marketing Chair for the Good Fellow Coin Club, which is a Crown Point-based Numismatic club that collects coins, currency, and metals. As a President of The Crown Point Chamber of Commerce, Ken looks forward to helping serve the chamber and meet new business owners.

Joseph Korzeniewski

Joseph is a Financial Advisor affiliated with Airey Financial Group, where he consistently delivers exceptional financial guidance to his esteemed clientele. In addition, he holds a position as a Board Member at the Crown Point Chamber, actively contributing his expertise to both the finance committee and planning committee. Joseph's commitment to professional growth is further exemplified by his role as the esteemed chair for EPIC Young Professionals. Joseph's profound connection to Crown Point is rooted in his upbringing, having grown up in the community and proudly graduated from Crown Point High School in 2009. This enduring association has instilled in him a strong sense of appreciation and a genuine desire to reciprocate the support he received from the community that played a pivotal role in his upbringing. Driven by his unwavering gratitude, Joseph is resolute in his commitment to actively contribute to the betterment of Crown Point. Joseph is joyfully engaged to his beloved partner, Morgan, and anticipates their forthcoming wedding in July, an occasion that embodies their shared love and commitment.

Valerie Contreras

Val and her husband Colt Contreras own Contreras Home Inspections, based in Crown Point. She enjoys building relationships and is grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community she lives in. She has a degree in English and Secondary Education, and she spent 8 years teaching English in the Region. Val and her husband have three children and love to take advantage of the many family friendly events, sports leagues, and educational opportunities around Crown Point.

Alan Myszkowski

As the founder of LOCAL219 and resident of Crown Point, Alan has served as the President of the Crown Point Chamber of Commerce since November 2019. He strongly believes in the power of building meaningful relationships and the prosperity of local businesses and looks forward to seeing that come to fruition within the Crown Point community. In his personal life, Alan is married to his wife Amber and has two young children, Brooklyn and Jude, and loves spending his free time chasing his kids around, watching sports, reading, and listening to music.


Kevin Kickert

Kevin is married to his wife Dawn with their children Lauren and Jackson (JJ). Kevin is the Assistant Vice President at Tech Credit Union from which he has been with for over 17 years. Kevin is on the advisory board at the Dean and Barbara White Southlake YMCA, Crown Point Rotary, Baseball Coach and the 2023 Recipient of the Volunteer of the Year award by the Regional Crossroads Chamber and was voted a top banker in the region from the NWI Times Best of The Region in 2022 and 2023.


Joe Sanders

● Joe Sanders – wife Carol, kids Sam Sanders and Sophy Rodd (both kids CP residents as well)
● NWI lifelong resident, Crown Point Resident since 1988.
● Executive Vice President of Ozinga Ready Mix Concrete, Indiana. (employed with Ozinga since 1996)


David Bryan

David has been married to his wife Jeri for 34 years, and together they have four grown children. David has been the owner of Bryan's florist since 2000. He is the owner and founder of Crown Brewing 2008 and the owner of Bryridge Development. David is a lifelong lake county resident and a 26 year Crown Point resident. He is vice president of the Lake courthouse foundational and a Corporate Board member of crossroads YMCA.


Katlyn Rather

Kate Rather is a lifelong resident of Crown Point and is the owner, and Executive Chef, of Green is Good by Kate. She has over 17 years of experience in restaurants. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Purdue University in 2010. She apprenticed at Rick Bayless' Frontera Grill and Topolobampo Restaurant, located in Chicago, IL, in 2011. She supplied catering for special events hosted by the president of Purdue University, and in 2012 Chef Kate graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in New York. In 2013 Chef Kate began her journey with Green is Good by Kate. In the years since she has opened, Kate has played an essential role in supporting the community and was acknowledged for that by being named Most Influential Woman in Service & Tourism in 2018. Green is Good by Kate prepares ready-to-eat "Grab 'n' Go" wraps, salads, sandwiches, soups, and sides. Many of the items Chef Kate prepares are Vegan, Gluten-Free, and Allergy Friendly. The menu changes seasonally and features weekly specials. Chef Kate was determined to merge quality and freshness within a grab-n-go restaurant concept. She did just that by using all organic and locally sourced produce and meat, providing healthier options for the person on the go without sacrificing flavor.

Allen Pante

Allen Panté is an energetic business leader in Crown Point, Indiana married to his wife Becky, with two kids, Molly and Tyler. Allen is the current president and managing partner of Phil & Son, Inc. He is a security technology overseer, ensuring operation and making sure the company is well-positioned. He has been in the security tech industry for over 25 years. He sits on multiple advisory boards within the industry driving new technologies and products alongside the world's largest security manufacturers.

Jacob Quasney

Jacob Quasney is the Junior Accountant at Janus Fire Systems in Crown Point.  He completed his Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from Indiana University Northwest in 2022, along with minors in Accounting and Political Science.  Wanting to interact more with the community and help local businesses, Jacob joined the Board in the summer of 2023.  He has been a resident of Crown Point for over 11 years.  In his spare time, Jacob enjoys running, spending time outdoors, reading about US history, and collecting coins.  He looks forward to having an impact on the Crown Point Chamber of Commerce.
